Our History

Take a trip through the history of Platinum Civil Engineering, exploring how this company was built and the principles it was built on
The Journey began in 2016, partners and directors William & Amanda Atkins started their first job completing works on a Vauxhall car park and showroom. William with his 25 years’ experience in ground works and construction and Amanda’s experience in education as assistant head of year were a formidable combination. Utilising their transferable skillset, they created a company, and so Platinum was born!
With the services of Courtley H&S specialists, employing an administrator, acquiring an office space and having first additions to the fleet of machines and vehicles, Platinum were striving for striving for excellence. After successfully completing some smaller projects, a partnership with an established contractor led to several larger projects including Astropol Warehouse, MKM Warrington, and Ellesmere Port.

Building a Team

2022 - 2023
2018 started strong, Platinum was nominated for new business of the year 2017 and projects were fast incoming including Abercromby Health Centre, Clocktower park, Ashborne, Alton Close and Jaguar Land Rover Preston. This continued into 2019 where we added to our commercial operations team which enabled us to manage more projects simultaneously.
As the team grew and the company gained experience, we combined the knowledge and expertise throughout the company. Company documentation revisions and the opportunity for statistical analysis was implemented utilising resources such as Microsoft Teams, Microsoft Excel and JotForm to upgrade the existing systems. Management, office staff and operatives were all educated on the new systems to standardise these operations throughout the company.
Platinum continues to organically grow, commercially flourishing and strengthening relationships with clients old and new.
