1.0      GENERAL STATEMENT

Platinum Civil Engineering Ltd and our employees recognise our responsibility to take reasonable measures and make necessary adjustments to our website to accommodate persons with a disability or impairment under the Public Sector Bodies (Websites and Mobile Applications) (No. 2) Accessibility Regulations 2018. This regulation builds on the existing obligations to people who have a disability under the Equality Act 2010 (or the Disability Discrimination Act 1995 in Northern Ireland).

 2.0      MEASURES

We have taken all reasonable steps to ensure that our website is accessible to those with:

·        Cognitive Impairments or Learning Disabilities
·        Deafness or Impaired Hearing

We have tried to achieve this by using Webflow’s built in vision preview which simulates how visually impaired people view our website. This includes:

·        Red-green colour blindness
·        Blue-yellow colour blindness
·        Full spectrum colour blindness
·        Focus Impairment

Each page is tested under these conditions so that, to the best of our ability, the text and images are visible to the user. We also try to use contrasting colours, large fonts and high resolution images to make our content easily readable.

In addition, we have also added features that assist visitors that use a screen reader to give an overview of the page content:

·        Added audio descriptions to our images
·        Organised headings levels to follow an throughout the pages
·        Minimised the use of PDF files and videos that don't support alt text
·        Provide links and buttons with meaningful names to help our users understand our content
