Operations & Procedures

Quality is paramount at Platinum, we strive to provide our clients with a service that exceeds their expectations. Platinum provides evidence that there is sufficient and relevant monitoring to ensure that we are producing an excellent standard standard of work. It is the responsibility of all employees to ensure that all work produced is to a good standard and it is the site manager's/site agent's responsibility to inspect and record as set out in the policies below.

Construction quality control are the systems and plans that construction teams put in place to ensure their projects meet industry standards and legal regulations. We adopt a proactive approach and organised quality inspections in conjunction with the programme of the project, this minimises the need for major amendments and changes to a project after completion.

Early quality inspection can identify any risks or problems, saving time, money and risk of injury later in the project. We assess risk and take reasonable precaution to reduce risk wherever possible, ensuring the completed project meets the expected quality standards.

As well as employing the best people available, we pride ourselves on having experienced and reliable managers on site, mentoring operatives ready to take the next step to achieving qualifications such as SSSTS, SMSTS, NVQs and machine licences.

The site managers regularly review and revise programmes to manage work areas and plan works. This foresight allows for materials look ahead, maximises productivity of plant & equipment and enables us to allocate labour effectively.

Levelling instruments are used such as a pipe laser, laser level, string line and spirit level. Measurement tools such as a depth measuring stick and tape measure are also used as evidence to show depths. On occasion, more complex equipment such as total stations and theodolites are useful tools for achieving high quality measures and accurate levels. Line marker spray is a necessity on site to annotate plots, areas, depths, hazards and identify remedials or snags.

Our plant and equipment are serviced and calibrated accordingly and hired-in items are checked for certification and service records to ensure H&S and quality standards are met.
All work produced is to be monitored and recorded via the platinum app, quality control processes ensure the quality and consistency of production. We use management software that helps to catalogue and track inspections, share checklists and workflows and manage project schedules and deadlines. We produces reports to review progress and performance against the agreed standards.
