About this role
We are looking for an established Site Manager with considerable groundworks and civils experience. The perfect candidate will have achieved a CITB approved Site Management Safety Training Scheme (SMSTS) qualification and are be able to competently manage all site activities ensuring all H&S and quality control procedures are followed. They will regularly review the site programme and drawings, communicating effectively with operatives, clients and contracts manager to deliver the project within the constraints. Salary is negotiable based on qualifications, knowledge and experience.
Qualifications and Skills
- Hold a SMSTS qualification
- Experience managing a site
- Proficient using an app to complete site administration such as a daily brief, site photos and time sheet
- Competent at using Microsoft Excel to complete daily diaries
- H&S conscious: identify potential slips, trips and falls , ensure H&S procedures are being followed, submit permits to break ground
- Able to manage site tasks to ensure the programme is followed and standards are maintained
- Strong interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with operatives and clients
- Organisational skills to monitor look-aheads on materials and schedule deliveries effectively
- Able to understand and monitor construction issue drawings and produce weekly marked up drawings
- Deliver daily briefings with plant checks, risk assessments and method statements and deliver weekly tool box talks
- Manage site materials, liaise with procurement team, record delivery notes, produce a look ahead on materials, plant and labour
- Driving Licence (Preferred)
