As part of our valued partnership with Mannings Construction, we completed works on 3 Tesco sites around Scotland – Annan, Carluke and Glasgow.

Tesco Annan and Carluke required a redesign of the flooding and stormwater management system for the superstore car parks as the ground was retaining too much water during heavy rainfall causing pooling.

We had a plan of works to resolve this issue, add preventative measures and finish with aesthetic landscaping:

-         Excavation and lifting paving blocks 

-         Disposal of spoil 

-         Attenuation tanks/soakaway crates installation 

-         Laying permeable paving and layering stone to promote infiltration into the ground and direct the water flow 

-         Geotextile membrane installation to stabilise the ground and help prevent soil erosion whilst allowing water to pass through 

-         ACO drains and channels installation 

-         Drainage repairs 

-         CCTV drainage inspection reports and topographical survey 

-         Trail pit installation 

-         Kerbing, tarmacking and road markings for parking bays 

-         Working around underground services, using a CAT4 scanner and correctly burying the services, marked with electric warning tape  


For Tesco Express Glasgow we installed a scissor lift pit which involved:

- Breaking out the existing reinforced concrete slab

- Disposing of spoil from the dig

- Installing the structural support

- Installing the data ducting

- Pouring the concrete to form the lift pit.
