Plot Drainage

We do all aspects of plot drainage including:

- Surface drainage to manage surface water runoff.

- Subsurface drainage to manage groundwater.

- Soil erosion prevention techniques to stabilise slopes and protect from degradation.

- Installation of a variety of drainage systems and pipework.

Plot drainage is really important to protecting land, keeping the area safe and maintaining structural integrity.

Road & Sewer Drainage

We provide a variety of road and sewer drainage services which are essential for managing water runoff and flooding outside of the plot drainage.

Road Drainage:
- Gutters and curbs along the edges of roads to direct water to drains.
- Grated inlets and drains for distributing water on the surface of the road into the drainage system.
- Pipework beneath road surfaces to collect and transport ground water.
- French drains/gravel-filled trenches that facilitate water movement away from the road base
- Channels to collect, slow down, redirect the water and promote ground infiltration or disperse the water into the drainage system.

Sewer Drainage:
- Sanitary sewers such as household connections that transport waste/foul water into the main sewer lines and then main sewer lines that carry the waste/foul water to treatment plants.
- Catch basins that collect rainwater and runoff, filters out debris and directs towards the sewer system.
- Combined sewers that collect both stormwater and sanitary sewage in a single pipe.
- Manholes and inspection chambers which allow for maintenance and inspection of the sewer lines and connections.
- Other road & sewer drainage includes treatment plants, pumping stations flood management which is covered further down the page.

Road & sewer drainage is essential for protecting infrastructure, public health and the environment by effectively managing the water and waste systems.

Deep Drainage

We also do deep drainage works, this includes all of the above drainage works as well as installation of drainage wells and drainage that reach deeper water tables. Deep drainage also considers the risks and skillset involved with working in deep and often narrow trenches.

These works need to be carefully executed taking necessary precautions such as temporary works designs for trench supports and considerations about the ground condition and ground stability.

Culverts & Headwalls

Culverts and headwalls are critical components in managing water flow. Culverts allow water to pass under a road, railway, trail or similar obstructions, we offer a range of culvert types including:

- Pipe Culverts

- Box Culverts

- Arch and Bridge Culverts

Headwalls are structures built at the inlet and outlet of culverts, protecting the culvert from erosion, provide structural stability and improve water flow. We are able to provide excavation, site preparation, installation of culvert, integration with headwall and backfilling and compaction.

Rising Mains

Rising mains are important pipes that transport fluids from lower elevations to higher points and apply to buildings, treatment plants and sewage systems. We offer excavation, installation and maintenance of rising mains ensuring that the appropriate methods of testing are diligently undertaken throughout to check for leaks and verify that it can withstand the operations pressure.

Pump Stations

We provide a variety of works relating to pump stations including excavation, ground stabilisation, building concrete foundations/bases, pump installation, pipe and fittings installation, testing and calibration, repairs and maintenance as well as modifications to suite specialised applications such as stormwater, wastewater and sewage, drinking water and industrial requirements .

The types of pumps we install include:

- Submersible Pumps

- Centrifugal Pumps

- Positive Displacement Pumps

We also work with the client to ensure that the pumps meet environmental and H&S requirements.

Waste Management

We provide both commercial and residential waste management drainage services. As with all of our drainage services we provide excavation, ground stabilisation, pipe installation, pipe relining and replacement and backfilling.

But we also provide a variety of waste management specific services such as:

- Manhole and access chamber installation, inspection, cleaning/desilting and maintenance/repairs as well as modifications and upgrades

- Septic tank, silage tank and cesspool installation, inspection, maintenance/repairs, connections/fittings, effluent management, modifications and upgrades,  drain field construction and a backup/failsafe plan. These works are usually introduced to areas not connected to municipal sewer systems

- Sewage treatment plant installation, to treat sewage before releasing it into natural water bodies

- Stormwater treatment plant installation, for removing pollutants from stormwater before it is discharged

These methods are all effective ways of managing wastewater and foul water for various requirements.

Flood Management

For mitigating heavy rainfall and prevent flooding, we can install a variety of flood management services including:

- Ditches, swales and channels which collect runoff, slow down flow, promote infiltration and direct towards larger bodies of water or other drainage systems

- Gullies and grates to capture surface runoff and direct towards drainage systems

- Storm sewers designed to capture excess water from streets, car parks and other surfaces and discharge appropriately.

- Soakaway/attenuation/PSM1 crates which are underground chambers designed with a geometry that slows down flow, allows the water to percolate into the soil and distributes it to a nearby drainage network

- Infiltration trenches, gravel-filled trenches which promote ground infiltration for surface water

- Ponds and basins, bodies of water that store and release excess rainwater gradually

- Underground storage tanks/cisterns that store large amounts of runoff underground and either distribute it or store it for later use.

- Permeable Interlocking Concrete Pavers (PICP) which have purposeful spaces left between them to allow for infiltration of surface water into the soil

- Integrated Urban Drainage Systems (IUDS) that collect stormwater and wastewater in either separate or combined pipes

We often install a combination of these flood management systems to effectively control and prevent flooding.

CCTV Drainage Survey

We also offer non-intrusive drainage inspection to have a detailed examination of the condition of underground drainage systems  infrastructure, obtaining necessary permits and performing safety checks.

This can be used to measure distances, map the drainage system and highlight any concerns.
